River Dart home

Renovation of 1970s house with spectacular views to Dartmouth.

This project involved a major remodelling of a 1970s house set on a spectacular site in Kingswear, looking across the River Dart to Dartmouth.  Structural reconfiguration allowed the opening up of internal spaces and new large glazed openings to take in the views.  An extension created additional living rooms, bedroom space with parking above.

The site falls steeply from the house towards the river so a new full-width elevated terrace structure improves the inside-outside relationship, creating an area to enjoy the ever-changing, panoramic views of life on this quintessential South Hams river.
